First tomatoe of summer!

Hey there!
Our garden is growing great this year, and we have had our first tomatoe.  (Obviously grown in the polytunnel, a bit early for out side tomatoes around these parts!

Also picking zuchinni, cucumbers, basil and shortly capsicums.

Many hours have been spent working the garden this spring/summer, and alot of money spent in irrigation.

Hoping you, dear reader, have had a lovely holiday season, celebrating in what ever way suits you.  For us its such a busy time of year, we mostly focus on catching up with family.  And now its to look forward to what 2017 will bring for us.

All the best!

  1. Sounds like your garden is being very productive... we have been busy picking tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, corn and now lifting potatoes, I have also been very busy canning, do you can any of your produce? All the best for 2017.

    1. I had meant to answer this sooner, sorry Julie. I do lots of preserving, but I haven't tried pressure canning yet, just water bath. I am hoping to buy a pressure canner this winter to play around with, so that I can preserve stuff like sweet corn next year. Its been a bumper harvest here, mind you there has been A LOT of work put into it. Sounds like your garden is going well too!
